29-Dec-2001 -- 53°N 111°W was the final goal in our day of "confluencing", and unfortunately we ran out of daylight, arriving at 17:25. But the GPS does function in the dark and the full blue moon helped to light the way.
This confluence is very easy to find as it is about 300 m west of a good country road in a harvested canola field. If you look directly east across the road you see the lights of an oil or gas processing plant.
As we were leaving the area we noticed an interesting old landmark nearby (SE). It is the Passchendale Community Hall complete with playground equipment and a baseball backstop. The hall may hve been a school a longtime ago.
