10-May-2002 -- Having just learned of the “Degree of Confluence Project” recently, I’ve been regulated to “Second Visit” status, as all of the confluences near me have had their initial visit. I decided that when my travels brought me near a confluence, I would visit it to document any changes to the sites.
41N / 82W has, in the past few years experienced rapid growth. There are no less than five fast food restaurants, one sit down restaurant, 4 gas stations, a large truck stop and a new car dealership located near the site. Having traveled this area in the past, it’s a far cry from the two gas stations that existed in the past.
My visit occurred on a typical Ohio Spring day, mid sixties in temperature and blustery. The ground was soft from the two previous days of rain. The sun shone brightly, but its warmth was stolen by the wind.
