16-Nov-2002 -- El sábado se presentaba indiferente en Rosario... Y pasé a ver a mis amigos Sebastián y Felipe, para charlar un rato cuando le comenté a Seba que existía el proyecto Confluence... Que ya había estado rastreando la confluencia 33 S 61 W con otro amigazo, "Niko"... Seba, tuvo una brillante idea, salir ya... y así lo hicimos... Estuvimos dando vuelta por la zona... una ruta, la 33, pasa a 2,8 Km de la confluencia y notamos que la misma se encontraba en una propiedad privada...

Eran aproximadamente las 14:00 hs. asi que decidimos ir a almorzar por la zona, una buena parrillada. Pero en el pueblo más cercano, Pujato, no había ninguna parrilla asi que nos dirigimos a la ciudad más cercana, Casilda, para poder comer algo y hacer tiempo.

Tipo 15:45 hs. salimos y nos metimos por un camino secundario que nos dejaba a 745 m del punto en cuestión y nos decidimos a ubicar el casco de estancia más cercano... y así lo hicimos...

Nos atendió el peón del campo, don Humberto... le explicamos que queriamos hacer y se nego a permitirnos entrar al campo... debía pedir permiso a la dueña del mismo... La cosa se torno un poco complicada y luego de dialogar un rato, la dueña del mismo, doña Elena apareció y me dijo que pasara... Charlamos un rato de la vida economica argentina, politica internacional, y después tratamos el tema de sacar fotos dentro de su campo... Ella, que es una niña de 90 añitos, aproximadamente, no entendia nada de GPS, Internet, ni nada por el estilo, pero vio que nuestro entusiasmo era tan grande, que nos permitio acceder al mismo.

Y allá fuimos con Humberto el peon del campo; de la casa estabamos a 496m, fuimos bordeando un alambrado, hasta que llegamos a dicha confluencia. Nos tomo unos 13 minutos hubicar S 33 00.000 W 61 00.000, pero lo logramos. El campo estaba sembrado de trigo. A pocos metros hay un tanque australiano y un ternero que se encuentra muy cerca de la misma... Si supiera donde esta...

Bueno este a sido nuestro breve relato de la aventura... Estamos planeando nuevas... Hasta Pronto.

16-Nov-2002 -- Saturday in Rosario was quite uneventful... So I paid a visit to my friends Sebastián (Seba) and Felipe, when I mentioned the Confluence Project to Seba... and the fact that I had been looking for it with another good friend, "Niko"... Seba, had the brilliant idea of going out to find it... as we did... We where going in circles in the area... highway 33 is just 2,8 Km from the confluence and we noticed that it was in a private property...

It was almost 14h00 so we decided to have lunch nearby, a good “parrillada”. The closest town, Pujato, did not have a suitable place so we went to the city of Casilda. Around 15h45 we started again through a secondary road that put us at 745 meters of the confluence point, we looked for the closest home to it.

We were welcomed by the Don Humberto, who works in the property... we explained our purpose and he asked us to wait while he checked this with the owner... Things got a little complicated but the owner of the land, Doña Elena showed up and asked us to come into the house... We chatted about the Argentinean economy, international politics and at the end the purpose of our trip, to take some pictures inside her fields... She, a 90 years old ‘child; did not understand about GPS, Internet, or things of this nature; but she saw our enthusiasm and granted us permit to do it.

So, with Don Humberto we left the house, we were at 496 meters, walking next to a wire fence we reached our objective. It took us some 13 minutes to get S 33 00.000 W 61 00.000, but we did it. The area is covered with wheat. A few meters away there is a pond and a calf... if he only knew where he is...
