26-Mar-2003 -- On March 21st we started our third confluence-trip. This time it was Finland. We sailed by boat to Hanko (South-Finland) and then by car to the Confluences 64° N 25° E, 64° N 27° E, 66° N 29° E, 67° N 29° E and 66° N 30° E (Russia). This time the confluences were always drive-in-confluences, except the russian one, and therefore we were
astonished that we were the first visitors.
This point was 2,5 km far away from the last road and 35 km from the last town. It was also in the wilderness and we could not believe that there was something like a border or so. We had also no visa or other paper from the russian-goverment to cross the border. This was a mistake because nearly one km ahead of the conflucence, we reached a border out of posts and a big sign which said "STOP" , without special permit no entering of the border zone. Now we had a problem and went back without visiting the confluence.
