02-May-2004 -- Wanting a change from Geocaching, we went Confluencing again.
Followed southern side of Logue Brook dam, which was almost dry. Deviated east on a gravel track. Parked about 400 metres from the point to enjoy the walk. Pleasant weather and pleasant surroundings meant a pleasant walk. Took "Little George" Geocache travel bug with us, so he could experience confluencing!
Site easy to find being 42 metres north of track in open Marri/Jarrah woodland.
Thought we'd try and find poor Trevor Johnson's AUS84 location. Now we know why it was difficult! The AUS84 spot is 190 metres from the WGS84 point, on a 40 degree bearing AND you have to crash through thick gully vegetation.
PS- We took the required photos (ie as per rules), as did Trevor, but note on other "successful" finds, that the photos aren't exactly as per the rules!
Coordinator's Note: Photo requirements changed in August 2003. Successful visits prior to the change retain their status.
