28-Apr-2003 -- Lunch Hour Confluence

After completing confluences at 45N 79W, 46N 80W and 49N 133E, I thought it was time to visit this easy confluence near our new house in Brooklin (north Whitby), Ontario. I picked up our young daughter, Alexandra, at lunchtime from her public school and headed out at 11:30AM. We reached the confluence at 11:40AM.

Since the actual confluence is on private land, I thought a visit to the sidewalk, which is within 100 meters, would be our target. It was just luck that the owner of the property, Ken, was in his front yard. After the standard "did you know that a confluence is in your backyard" speech, he let us onto his property.

The actual confluence is a few feet beyond his back fence, in a cornfield. We took the standard pictures and left.

We had time to get lunch and make it back within the hour for my daughter's afternoon classes. A quick lunchtime journey!
