13-Jun-2004 -- Observamos que esta confluência permanecia incompleta por se tratar de um terreno muito acidentado e de difícil acesso. Realizamos um vôo de reconhecimento sobre a confluência no dia 11 de Abril de 2004 em avião de Marcos Otani com a finalidade de descobrir a melhor forma de chegar ao local. Constatamos que o acesso possível é pela cidade de Ivaí e não por Prudentópolis.

Após vários adiamentos em decorrência de mau tempo, finalmente em 13 de Junho partimos de Londrina (350 Km da confluência) às 6:30h da manhã chegando por estrada pavimentada à cidade de Ivaí. Daí, seguimos por caminho muito acidentado, cheio de pedregulhos, atravessando diversos riachos sem pontes. Chegamos a uma plantação de milho a partir da qual seguimos a pé até a borda de uma mata ciliar que distava 50 m da confluência. Penetramos na mata e às 12 h documentamos nossa visita.

What we could observe was that this point of confluence had remained unaccomplished for having a rugged terrain, difficult to access. We decided then to fly over the spot so we could find out more about the best way to access the confluence point. We did it on April,11, 2004 on Marcos Otani's airplane,and we came to the conclusion that the best way to access the place would be through the city of Ivaí and not through Prudentópolis ( as we had previously thought).

After several postponements due to bad weather conditions, we set off from Londrina ( 350 km away from the confluence ) at 6:30 am on June, 13. We drove through a paved road to Ivaí firstly. Then we drove through a very bumpy dirt road, going over several streams for which there were no bridges. We arrived at a corn plantation, and from that point on we walked up to a ciliary wood, 50 meters away from the confluence. We got into the wood and at 12 am we finally managed to reach the confluence spot .
