26-Jun-2004 -- Еще зимой, катаясь на склоне горы Мустаг (на карте почему-то именуемой Пустаг), мы обратили внимание на то, что совсем неподалеку (в 6-ти км) находится точка 53N088E. Чуть позднее на это обратили внимание наши товарищи Александр Лобанов и Владимир Николенко, которые даже сделали об этом небольшой репортаж и уже тогда сделали предположение, что достичь этой точки без спецтехники будет сложно. Однако я решил рискнуть и 26 мая 2004 года отправился покорять эту точку. Мне повезло больше – я приблизился к ней аж на 3.5 км. Объездив все окрестные склоны и собрав на капоте автомобиля образцы всей местной флоры, могу констатировать, что приблизиться ближе на автомобиле вряд ли возможно. Точка находится в распадке, заросшем густым и труднопроходимым лесом. Можно было бы попытаться достигнуть точки пешком, но, памятуя о том, как ведет себя навигатор в густых зарослях на склонах (глючит), я предположил, что вероятность того, что точка не будет засчитана после всех героических усилий (как это получилось с точкой 55°N 87°E), весьма высока… Вывод: эту точку можно попробовать достигнуть зимой на снегоходе (или даже на лыжах, спускаясь со склона – благо подъемник рядом). Кроме того, не исключено, что поздней осенью (где-нибудь в начале ноября) когда уже не будет густого подлеска, но еще не ляжет снег, ее можно будет покорить пешком. Удачи всем!

26-Jun-2004 -- While it is still winter, they are taking a ride on the slopes of mount Mustag (on the map for some reason it is referred to as Pustag), we turned our attention to the fact that not very far away (within 6 km) is found the point 53N088E. A little later our comrades Alexander Lobanov and Vladimir Nikolenko have called our attention to the fact that they have even done about this some reporting and already then have made the suggestion that to reach this point without specialized technology will be complicated. However I have decided to dare and on 26 May 2004 left to conquer this point. I was more lucky – I approached within 3.5 km of it.

Having detoured all neighboring slopes and having collected on the hood of the car samples of the entire local flora, I can establish that to approach closer in a car is hardly possible. The point is found in a glen, overgrown with an almost impassable forest. It might be possible to try to reach the point on foot, but, remembering how the navigator leads in thick undergrowth on the slope (it jams the signal), I assumed that the probability this point will not be counted after all the heroic effort (as was the case with the point 55°N 87°E) is very high… The Conclusion: this point is possible to try to reach in winter on snowmobile (or on skis even, coming down on the slope – alongside the good lift). Besides, is not to be excluded that by late autumn (somewhere in the beginning part of November) when there will already not be thick undergrowth, but there will not yet be snow, it will be possible to conquer it on foot.
