09-Jul-2010 -- Continuing on my trip from 54N114W, the map had this area even closer to a road (Range Road 211) and given the ease of the previous visitor over 8 years ago, I figured it should be visited again since I was in the area. Much to my surprise, it has completely changed since!
Imagine my shock when I saw a huge and very impressive horse training facility, complete with stables and a full-sized horse racing track (for training purposes) located at this very spot!
Entering into the facility (which courteously stated "Visitors welcome, but you must register"), I asked a lady who was mending a horse whether I could take a picture inside one of the horse pastures where 54N 114W was located. She referred me to her supervisor. Summarizing the complexities of the degree conflunece project, I just asked if I could take some pictures of the magic spot since it has been 8 years since somebody visited the site. She was very friendly and said "go right on ahead" with a slightly puzzled look on her face.
I went to the empty horse stall and snapped my pictures, and was delighted at my find - looking at the ancient Google satellite photography gave absolutely no hint as to what I would have found here.
Anyhow, the facility here looks really nice and very new. I'm guessing by the pictures of the winning horses in the main lobby area that it was built sometime in 2009.
