12-Dec-2011 -- I took the opportunuity of a trip to the Death Valley National park during my journey to California to go on my first Confluence Point without my soulmate Phil... But I managed very well to find the place.
Taking the road to the North of Beatty (Hwy 95) and following the direction indicated by the previous visitors toward Titus Canyon, I started to drive on a dirt road. Using a brave two wheel-drive car, I did my best to avoid potholes and get out of the ruts, but I would recommend a high clearance vehicle as the path was quite rutted at that time because of former washouts... It scared me out of my wits two or three times despite I was very excited by this driving test. Leaving the car along the path (N36.9859 W117.000),it takes only around a mile north to reach the point. The point is located in the middle of a desert landscape ([#6]), with only scruffy bushes and some Joshua trees ([#7]) as a vegetation.
