06-Aug-2025 -- From [38,-4], I drove along a freeway past the town of Ubeda, exiting to continue along rural roads through the villages of Santo Tome and Chilluevar. I then took a series of narrow rural roads - first paved, then semi-paved, then dirt - that eventually passed just 100m West of the point. I parked here and wallked past an old farmhouse that previous visitors have noted. I suspected that the farmhouse might possibly be occupied, because I saw a cat walking in front, and heard roosters crowing nearby. So I quickly hiked down the hill to reach the point, which lies in a small olive grove, next to a clearing.
I wanted to fly my drone here, because I saw an interesting looking rock-strewn hill just to the East. But with the farmhouse possibky being occupied, I didn’t want to risk bothering a resident.
On my way back to Granada I stopped at the scenic “Vazquez de Molina Square” in Ubeda.
