Kurt's report:
Lisa and I were caching in the area today. I had the desire to visit this spot for some time and she agreed. As we rode our Motorcycles into the area a local resident was tuning his Vintage BSA. SWEET!
Photo one is of the general area. It looks like selective clear cutting is going on nearby.
Photo two Lisa finaly got GPS to give it up.
Photo three. My beat up Old Rhino finally locked in.
Lisa's report:
Kurt and I were out doing an Easter Cache Hunt today and decided to see if we could follow the GPS to this site. After checking on a BSA rider alongside the road, we found a suitable spot to leave the bikes and head into the woods. The fireplace that is shown in previous photos appears to be gone, and quite a bit of the woods seems to have been bulldozed...hopefully not for a McMansion. The large boulder caught our attention as we came over the hill into the dale below. I got the GPS to settle to all zeros with an accuracy of 19' reported. This was a lot of fun on our afternoon in the area. Kurt will upload photos of our visit today, including screenshots from both GPS units and a photo of the boulders.
Coordinator's Note: This visit is classified incomplete because it does not meet the photo requirements of the project.
