03-Jan-2007 -- I had a couple of hours to drive and two confluences so an early start of the day was mandatory.

It was quite wet and the intermittent showers told me it wasn't going to get any better. Driving on a main road near Cooloola Cove, I came to within a couple of hundred metres to the spot. I'm glad it was near the road.

The vegetation was quite thick and I got soaked in no time. I took the pctures and got quickly back to the car. It was an uncomfortable but quick confluence to do.

The funny thing is that I used to live within walking distance to that place about 6 years ago. I knew nothing about the degree confluence project. It was somewhat fitting then that it be my first one of the year with hopefully many to come.
