13-Mar-2007 -- So onwards to San Francisco stopping off at probably one of the easiest US confluences on the way.

I turned off the freeway and drove through the suburbs towards the old naval base. The road goes due north past the base and I wasn't sure whether there would be anywhere to stop the car on it so I pulled off and parked in the last side street and walked about 700m to the the confluence.

As other visitors have noticed it's still not possible to get exactly to the site but you could park a car at the closest spot and complete the visit without getting out.
