31-Jan-2009 -- The main objective of the day was to go X-country skiing at Albion Hills - a few miles SE of the point. After that, Kate and Charlotte agreed to come with me to the point - as always I said it would be very quick and simple - they rarely are.
As it happened this time it was both - except that the snow was rather deep. We approached from the west and found the point after just a couple of minutes walking. It is already well described in previous visits - lying just next to a small stream in natural woodland with lots of dead trees littering the ground. A very wintery scene but the stream was still running. Charlotte was determined to take the direct route up the bank and floundered in the snow for a few minutes. Unfortunately I did not catch that on camera.
