On the third day of my holidays in Germany I wanted to visit my third confluence point.
It is situated near the hometown of my parents. So I asked my father to join and to collect some new experiences of using a GPS device. We drove a short distance and reached Zellhausen/Mainhausen. The car can be parked near a cemetery in the south east of the village. From there it was a 900 meters walk through a forest to the confluence point location. The motorway is situated directly next to the cp location. So it is not a very quiet place.
It was after noon and the weather was good for the time of the year. So I did the necessary pictures. But in opposite of my first two CPs it was not possible to find the coordinates with a zero in the end for longitude AND latitude. The figures were jumping around the wanted point! Maybe I should invest in a better device or it’s the influence of the strong radiation of the near transmitter ‘DCF77’.
It was my first confluence point in Germany and I am sure it won’t be the last!
