06-Feb-2011 -- We decided to make the most of this sunny winter Sunday by making a trip to Cataluna and pay a visit to this confluence point a few kilometers east of Giron. We left the city on road C66 heading east in the direction of La Bisbal. The CP is located on the west side of the road 8 kilometers before reaching La Bisbal.

It is quite easy to reach after a short walk from the main road and through a wood. The confluence point lies in a crop field 170 meters south of a farmhouse that we speculated to be the land owner's home. We were greeted by goats which seemed very interested by our efforts to zero in the point. In our experience this CP will definitely remain as the Goat and Lemon tree confluence.

Cataluna is a wonderful place to visit not only for the Mediterranean border or the good times to spend in Barcelona but also for the cool landscapes made of low hills and typical villages like Corça or San Joan de Mollets scattered from the Pyrénées mountains to the sea shore. A great part of our trip was made under the impressive sight of the Canigou peak (Altitude 2785 meters) still covered with remaining snow.
