01-Apr-2011 -- While driving from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Amarillo, Texas, I noticed a couple of easy-looking confluence points very close to I-40: This point, [35,-106] and its neighbor to the east, [35,-105].
This point lies just to the east of the town of Moriarty (fortunately, urban sprawl has not yet claimed it). A paved road passes just 0.2 miles south of the point.
After crossing a flat, grassy pasture, the ground finally becomes a little undulating, and the confluence point lies just beside a dry, almost dead-looking tree. (In previous visitors' photos, the tree looked much healthier.)
