13-Aug-2011 -- Coming from the visit to 61°N 8°E I drove back downhill on RV52, then turned right back onto E16 over the mountains to Valdres, only leaving the highway when I got to within 5 km of this confluence.

Turning right at Røn I crossed the narrow connection between the two lakes Ferisfjorden and Strandafjorden, then drove steep uphill on dirt roads to Svedalen (where I got onto a much better road coming up from further south in the valley) and the point.

The confluence is located less than 30 m from the main road into the Vestre Slidre mountain recreation area, an area with hundreds of small cabins like the current one. These are most heavily used during the fall and winter as starting points for hikes and skiing trips.

After getting the to the zero point and documenting the spot I drove the final 190 km or so back home. With 18 hours spent driving I was glad to have these confluence trips as a way to break up the trip into several shorter pieces!
