(visited by Terratin)

07-Apr-2012 -- A long overdue trip around the North-East of Sjælland. The day started overcast and snowy. Late morning it cleared up and became rather sunny, but a cold northerly wind kept the temperature at a few degrees Celsius above 0. Our goal for the day was to pick up a number of Geocaches and visit this confluence point along the way. Our trip started in Copenhagen, then we drove via Helsingor, Hornbæk, Søborg Castle and Lisleje beach to the CP. From there we continued South via Frederikssund and Roskilde back to Copenhagen. All-in-all a 170 km round trip.

Getting close to the CP by car is easy; the roads in Denmark on average are pretty good. Only the last few hundreds of meters is through a nice quiet area with (holiday) homes in a very rustic setting, including dirt roads and lots of potholes. The last 250 m to the CP is not accessible by car. We parked in the Myretuevej (at N 56 00.074 E012 00.132) and leisurely walked over the paths (Picture #7) to the CP.

The CP itself is unmarked and located in the middle of an -in our opinion- not so very interesting forest called Brødemose Skov. This forest apparently is really old, dating back from prehistory, although it does look like it is a planted forest, due to the trees standing nicely in line (especially to the South and West of the CP, Picture #4 & #5).
