One thing that has become clear to me over the last few days - as I drive through parts of the former East Germany - is that its country roads are still not nearly as well-developed as those of the former West Germany. However, I was eventually able to find a narrow farm road - leading from the small village to the south-west - that took me just 300 meters West of the confluence point.
From there it was an easy walk across an empty pasture to the confluence point, which - unfortunately - was completely unremarkable. The view was also pretty much the same in all directions.
