08-Apr-2014 -- Having flown to England before we move to Russia permanently, we decided to do some confluence hunting in our 5 or so weeks here.
We had a day out in Cambridge and very conveniently a confluence point was positioned on our route there.
First we drove to Reed on the A10, turned off to the village of Barkway, found a country track. This road turned to hard, dry mud which was easy to drive on. We park the car about 500m from the confluence.
I walked to the point, but the closest I could get was 75m away, because their is an electric fence surrounding the main field. After reading previous accounts, this fence appears to be new, hopefully it hasn't been erected to stop confluence hunters!
After a few indecisive minutes, I decided to climb over the fence, rather carefully, and head to the spot. At present, from a non-farmers view, nothing appears to be happening in the field.
