29-Apr-2023 -- This is the 1st out of 9 reports reaching or attempting confluence points during a one-week bicycle trip in Northern Spain from Santiago de Compostela to Barcelona.
On Friday evening I arrived by airplane at the airport of Santiago. I cycled about one hour and spent the night in a village called O Pedrouzo. Since this is the last leg of the St. James way (via Frances), there were dozens of hostels. Nevertheless, I had a hard time to find accommodation due to my late arrival. Nearly everything was fully occupied. I finally got a bed in one of the cheap hostels.
The next morning, I would have had only 40 km to cycle to the confluence point, if I hadn’t lost my way several times.
This confluence is located quite high on a hill where several wind turbines have been built. The nearest turbine is in 200 m distance. The exact location of the confluence is right at a corner of a Eucalyptus plantation. Why on earth would someone plant this tree, which originally comes from the southern hemisphere?
Afterwards, I visited the nearby Dolmen Forno Dos Mouros.
