19-Jun-2022 -- We visited Termoli during a short trip in Italy in June 2022 while heading to the gargano peninsula. The CP is located on the beach some 500 meters south east of the old town entrance. It is very easy to reach on foot; interestingly the 42nd parallel is marked by a monument while the N42 E15 confluence is mentioned on the city website.

Due to this specific location the cp has witnessed many historical events occuring in Termoli from the building of the cathedral (1037) and the swabian castle (1247), the turkish navy attack in 1567 and lately the very tough fights during WW2 causing the loss of a huge number of civilians (3rd - 10th october 1943).
