05-Aug-2025 -- Esta narrativa é uma continuação da visita à confluência 14S 50W.

Após passar a noite na cidade de São Miguel do Araguaia, em Goiás, retomei a viagem às 7h15min e segui rumo ao sul. Dirigi por 505 quilômetros até virar à esquerda e iniciar o trecho em estrada de terra, de 13 quilômetros. Antes, porém, parei na estrada para tomar um lanche, em substituição ao almoço.

Esta confluência, assim como as duas anteriores desta viagem, teve uma tentativa frustrada um ano e meio atrás, em janeiro de 2024. Naquela oportunidade, fui impedido de prosseguir em razão de enormes poças de água, provocadas pela chuva. Nesta nova tentativa, a estrada de terra estava em ótimas condições e não tive nenhuma dificuldade.

Parei o carro a apenas 300 metros do ponto exato e caminhei sem dificuldade até a confluência, primeiro por uma área de campo aberto e depois por uma área de cerrado. Zerei o GPS, pela primeira vez nesta viagem.

Fiz todo o caminho de volta e segui viagem rumo a oeste. Atravessei o rio Araguaia e entrei no estado do Mato Grosso. Encerrei a viagem bem cedo, às 13h40min, na cidade de Barra do Garças. Não prossegui porque eu já tinha programado as duas confluências do Mato Grosso para o dia seguinte.

Com esta visita, eu alcanço um marco interessante. O Brasil tem 731 confluências, das quais 375 já foram visitadas por alguém. Com esta visita eu alcanço 188 visitas no Brasil. Ou seja, dentro do universo das confluências do Brasil que já foram visitadas por alguém, eu já visitei metade delas.

Outro marco dessa visita é que a região Centro-Oeste do Brasil ultrapassa a região Norte, com um total de 28 confluências visitadas. A região em que eu mais tenho visitas é, disparado, o Sudeste, com 71 pontos, seguido pelo Nordeste, com 48 pontos. O terceiro lugar passa a ser ocupado pelo Centro-Oeste.

After spending the night at São Miguel do Araguaia city, Goiás state, I resumed the trip at 7:15 and headed to south. I drove by 550 kilometers up to turn left and started the dirt road leg, 13 kilometers long. Before, however, I stopped at the highway to take a snack, replacing the lunch.

This confluence, as two previous ones of this trip, had unsuccessfully attempted one and a half year ago, in January 2024. In that opportunity, I was blocked by huge puddles, caused by the rain. In this new trip, the dirt road was in excellent condition and I didn’t face any hardness.

I stopped the car only 300 meters to the exact point and hiked easily up to the confluence, firstly by an open field area and then by a savanna area. I got all GPS zeroes for the first time in this trip.

I made all the way back and resumed the trip, heading to west. I crossed the interstate border and entered in Mato Grosso state. I finished the trip very early, at 13:40, at Barra do Garças city. I didn’t go ahead because I had planned the two confluences of Mato Grosso state to the following day.

With this visit, I reached an interesting milestone. Brazil has 731 confluences, and 375 out of them had visited by anyone. With this visit, I reach 188 confluences in Brazil. That is, in Brazil, I had visited half of all confluences already visited by anyone.

Other milestone of this visit is that Center-West Region of Brazil surpass North Region, with 28 visited confluences. The most visited region is, by far, the Southeast Region, with 71 confluences, followed by Northeast Region, with 48 confluences. Center-West Region by now occupies the third place.
