26-Feb-2025 -- On the way from Cefalù to Milazzo (to take the hydrofoils to Stromboli) I just realized it’s only ~half hour deviation from the planned route to visit this CP. So, I decided to not miss this opportunity.

Parked the car close to 38°00'07.7"N 14°00'11.5"E – where is two road intersection – the right one was blocked [perhaps private property] with a rusty iron gate and from distance I heard the barking dogs. I took the other road and after ~150m crossed the creek and with a short climbing returned to the other road bypassing the first house and the dogs. After the last abandoned summer resort started the climbing on a quite steep hill. It rained previously and was difficult to move on the slippery limestone and high grass.

On the way back got soaked to the skin in the pouring rain so I chose another ‘shorter’ route what is ended in dense vegetation, barbed wire fences, also perturbing few wild boars… Unfortunately, in this condition I was not able to visit the quarry – based on the literature is Upper Triassic grey dolomitic limestone – Isnello Dolostone.
