29-Jul-2026 -- This is the 1st of 6 CP visits made during a 6 week trip to Sweden via the Czech republic, Poland, Germany and Denmark.

The next is N51 E15.

The plan this year was to drive to Sweden with my hikng, cycling and camping gear and spend about 4 weeks in Sweden. Sadly no CPs would be visited in Sweden itself as I would not be travelling far enough North to get any new ones. Maybe next year !!

My intention was to visit some missing CPs on the way. A rough plan was to drive basically North from Vienna into the Czech republic and keep going North into Poland close to the German border, finally heading West into Germany to grab one more CP. Since I already have all the land CPs in Denmark (except the one on Bornholm island) there would be no CP visits in Denmark either.

After a slow 320km drive I arrived close to Kouřim around 2p.m., parking on a patch of grass on the other side of the 33418 road. Turning on my trusty Garmin 64st navi I found the N50 E15 waypoint I had loaded onto the device was not available - I had loaded thousands of Swedish and Danish waypoints (places to stay, places of interest, etc) and GPX hiking and cycling trails, that it seems that I had exceeded the the limit of the device. I knew there was a limit of how many points a track can have (10k I think) or how many points a route can have, but not a limit on how many waypoints could exist. I even tried using the 'Mark' function with the intention of editing the location of the mark to N50 E15 but was unable to save any new marks. This left me with the option of using the Lat/Long position display on the Garmin 64st and Goople maps to determine how far I was from the CP.

So I crossed the road and headed into a dry, mainly Maize field, with big gaps in the crop so I could reach the approximate CP location without stepping on any crop. I would calculate the distance from the CP later from the Lat/Long reading if I didn't get all zeroes. The usual photos were taken and I returned to the car and headed for N51 E15.
