24-Jun-2001 -- On June 24th 2001, we reached the confluence point 41N 3W. This point is located about 100 km east of Madrid in the province of Guadalajara. The nearest village is called La Toba, where we arrived after driving throug Guadalajara (you guessed it, it is the capital city of the province) and Jadraque, a scenic town where you can visit a quite well preserved castle.
We parked our cars a kilometre before getting la Tow and trecked 1.5 kilometres before reaching the confluence point.
The whole area is devoted to farming, but fortunately the crops had been already gathered and no damages issued (both for crops and for us -- farmers are not specially keen of foreigners who mess with their harvests).
We checked the location by using two different GPS and the results were quite similar. It was summer in Spain and the heat was suffocating, even worse after the trek, therefore after some photos we decided to return
to Madrid in a hurry.
The visitors were (left to right): Javier Alcoriza and Angel Hermosilla. This confluence is our second sucessful one (so far).
