29-Aug-2004 -- On my way from Graz to Salzburg I had the chance to visit this point, which lies on a shortcut between the highway A1 and A9 in Upper Austria. I left the A9, passed Kirchdorf an der Krems and Inzersdorf. The road in the direction of Pettenbach and Vorchdorf is a rewarding trip, with numerous windings up and down through the woods and meadows of Upper Austria.

In Lungendorf I left the main road to Vorchdorf and turned right. My TomTom navigator was a perfect guide. At this sign I was already very close. On a gravel road I could almost drive to the point, which is situated in a already harvested field east of the gravel road.

The view to the North and to the South show the character of the landscape very well, and you can also see the gathering thunderstorm in the eveningsky. South of the point there is a farmhouse with a very old part and a recently erected new part.

To the west there is the picnic station which is in fact another farmhouse, where you can have a break and eat and drink some snacks, probably of local production. Unfortunately I had no time to have a rest, a last glance to the north and I left this nice place. After the Jausenstation I found this religious monument at the road.

29-Aug-2004 -- Auf meiner Fahrt von Graz nach Salzburg wollte ich diesen Punkt nicht auslassen. Er liegt im Winkel zwischen A1 und A9 in Oberösterreich. Ich fuhr also von der A9 ab, durchquerte Kirchdorf an der Krems und Inzersdorf. Dann führt die Straße in Richtung Pettenbach und Vorchdorf durch hügeliges Gebiet, es ist eine lohnende Fahrt durch die Wiesen und Wälder Oberösterreichs.

In Lungendorf verließ ich die Hauptstraße und ließ mich von meinem TomTom Navigator leiten. An diesem Schild bog ich ab und konnte dann, zum Schluß auf einer Schotterstraße fast bis zum Punkt fahren, der auf einem bereits abgeernteten Feld östlich der Zufahrtsstraße liegt.

Der Blick nach Norden und nach Süden zeigen gut den hügeligen Charakter der Landschaft. Im Abendhimmel sah man die dunklen Wolken eines aufziehenden Gewitters. Südlich des Punktes liegt ein alter oberösterreichischer Bauernhof mit einem Nebengebäude und einem erst kürzlich erweiterten großen Hauptgebäude.

Im Westen sieht man die Jausenstation, die eigentlich ebenfalls ein Bauernhof ist, nun aber zu einer Jause einlädt, wahrscheinlich mit selbsterzeugten Spezialitäten wie Bauernbrot, Würsten und Speck und einem guten Most dazu. Leider hatte ich keine Zeit, diese Köstlichkeiten zu probieren, ein letzter Blick nach Norden und ich fuhr wieder weiter.
