25-Jun-2000 -- This is my first confluence.I came across the project
when looking what the weather is like in Parker, Arizona, in August. One of the
results of the search was a confluence near Parker.
I opened the link and was immediately taken with the idea and looked for
the nearest to home. 53N1W looked the easiest to reach so I sset off with my
two sons, Jonathan and Josh to photograph it.
No real problems with finding the confluence. We asked at the local
farmhouse and a lady said the land belonged to the local water authority.
Those of you with knowledge of the water authorities in the UK will have some
sympathy with me when I thought this will be a way of getting something back
from these people, however small.
The photographs themselves show the confluence on the edge of an oil
seed field. Not very spectacular but well worth the effort.
