26-Aug-2025 -- I’m returning to California (via the Interstate 80 freeway) from my mountain biking vacation in Colorado, but first made a detour to visit this Degree Confluence Point - last visited more than 12 years ago. I parked about 0.5 mile West of the point, near a farming complex that's signposted “High Point Bison”, though I didn’t see any bison (or any other cattle) there.
The (0.5 mile each way) hike was easy, on flat, grassy terrain. The point lies in a slight depression, which made the ’NESW’ photos rather bland. But fortunately the ‘drone’s eye’ view - from 120m above the point, was a bit more interesting.
The wind turbines to South of the point - i.e., just inside Colorado - seem to be new since the last visit, by Gavin Roy in May 2013.
Afterwards, I drove to [41.00160,-104.06687], and walked 0.75 miles (each way) to visit the Wyoming-Nebraska-Colorado ’tripoint’ (which is at [41.00169,-104.05318], almost 3 miles West of the Degree Confluence Point).
