12-Mar-2008 -- Rain, rain, rain and? STORM. I went by train to Hamburg, then took the a car to get to the most northwestern confluence in Germany. Near Brunsbüttel, I stopped at a nice restaurant to have lunch. I had a small conversation with the waiter and explained him, why I am on the road when it´s raining cats and dogs... He didn´t understand why people search for virtual lines on muddy fields, called me a stupid Hessian and preferred to stay at the bar.
When I arrived near the confluence the rain seemed to stop for some minutes, just to invite me to cross some meadows to get to the confluence. I passed a farm house and recognized that the inhabitants observed me walking through the mud... But nothing could stop me on my way to the confluence. I found it, made the photos and... it started raining again. During 10 minutes walking back to the car, I was totally wet, but happy to have caught another one! One my way to 54N 10E, I switched on the seat heating in the very convenient rental car to dry my clothes and myself.
