01-Jun-2008 -- Once again I was travelling for work and figured I'd try this confluence that didn't look to be too far off the road and within an easy walking distance of where I could get my vehicle.
It seems the local Murrumbateman council has closed off Scrubby Lane at the end of their maintained road and the track that continues is not accessible by vehicle. Future visitors may of course use a motorcycle or bicycle to get nearer to the confluence although I didn't have any trouble walking. As it happens what I estimated to be a walk of approx 750-800m turned out to be at least twice that. As previous visitors have noted there are a number of fences that need to be jumped across.
I made it to the confluence without any trouble and without contact with land owners, stock or wildlife. Photos were taken and then I was back to my vehicle and on the road back to Sydney.
