08-Aug-2008 -- Again cycling on beautiful and cycling-friendly Bornholm, this time accompanied by my sister Margareta. Despite being in the area where one of the worst summer storms passed on Monday, we had been cycling in good weather except the resting day (Wednesday), when Christiansø was visited.
How to do cycling in stormy weather, when accommodated in a friend's flat in Rønne? Check the wind direction at dmi.dk, take a bus (carrying cycles on a rear shelf, but we had folders that we packed into special suitcases) to a good starting point, cycle in tailwind to the destination and take the bus home.
On the last day on Bornholm, we visited the WGS84 55N 15E monument. Check the Oct 2005 visit for a story about moving the monument from the ED50 position to the WGS84 position.
As seen on the pictures, the weather was good, but at the shore 150 from the confluence, big waves battered the coast and sand was blowing.
