I was spending the day driving eastward through northern Germany, visiting the old Hansiatic League Cities (many UNESCO World Heritage ranked) along the way. This confluence point lies between two of these cities: Wismar and Rostock. It is very close to an Autobahn; in fact, you can probably pass within 100 meters of the point just by staying on the Autobahn.
Reaching the confluence point on foot, however, was a little more difficult, although the only real difficulty was finding out how to get to the (narrow, gravel) frontage road that passes just 75 meters North of the point (running along the South side of the Autobahn). It took me a lot of confused driving around before I finally found the way; the trick is to get to the road/bridge that crosses the Autobahn just West of the point.
The confluence point lies in a grassy pasture. No animals were grazing there at the time. Just East of the point, there was a small circular patch of vegetation - containing some trees. (It's a pity that the confluence point doesn't lie within that circle, as it would make it a bit more interesting.)
