14-May-2015 -- This is the 10th out of 12 reports reaching confluence points along the 51°N-line. The story starts from 51°N 14°E.
Coming from 51°N 6°E, we reached the vicinity of this confluence at 5:08 PM after a drive of 1 hour and 16 minutes on the motorway A2 in western direction. We parked – as it was suggested in previous reports – near the
intersection of ‘Steenweg Diest’ and ‘Bredeveldstraat’. From there, we had a quick stroll to the confluence point. Since the weather had changed from sun to rain, our shoes, socks, and feet got soaked from the wet grass along the path through the meadow.
The confluence itself is covered with high grass and nettles. These nettles are still small at this time of the year. As I understand, summer visitors had some problems getting through these burning plants. Around the confluence are some little trees. At a distance of 50 m there is the Demer water channel.
Again, we didn’t hang around for a long time at this confluence, since we had planned to visit another 2 confluence points before end-of-day.
