20-Nov-2017 -- Esta confluencia se encuentra muy cerca de la Ruta 36 (una de las opciones para llegar de la ciudad de Buenos Aires a las localidades de la costa atlántica) y además en el sector periurbano de la ciudad de La Plata, un sector salpicado de viveros, huertas, algunas industrias y urbanizaciones dispersas. Por lo que a priori parecía fácil de conquistar.

Hace unos meses volvía de la costa y sin ningún tipo de estudio previo intenté llegar, puse el GPS y seguí sus indicaciones, dejé la Ruta 36 por la Av. 66 y luego seguí hasta la calle 179, la cual circulando por aproximadamente un kilómetro me debería dejar a metros de la confluencia. Pero la calle se desdibuja a unos 500 metros de la confluencia.

Volví a la avenida y probé por la calle 185, asfaltada, y luego internándome por calles de tierra, pero el mismo resultado, solo podía llegar a unos 500 metros del punto de la confluencia.

Como no tenía ganas de caminar y por otra parte es un sector por el que paso varias veces al año, aquella vez desistí y me propuse investigar las imágenes satelitales para determinar el mejor camino de aproximación.

El 20 de noviembre nuevamente me encuentro volviendo de la costa, y decidí probar suerte otra vez. Viendo imágenes satelitales todos los caminos que yo probé (sin éxito) parecían correctos, se ve que la falta de uso los volvió actualmente impracticables para un auto común. Pero por otra parte se veía otro camino, dejando la Av. 66 por la calle 177, el cual parecía llevar también a la entrada de la cantera en donde se encuentra la confluencia. Y esta vez funcionó, apenas un par de minutos luego de dejar el asfalto de la avenida ya estaba dentro de los 100 metros de la confluencia. El cielo se ponía cada vez más negro y las gotas comenzaban a caer y además estaba dentro de un terreno privado (los últimos 150 metros fueron luego de pasar el intimidante cartel “Propiedad privada, prohibida la entrada” que da acceso a la cantera), así que rápidamente registré el punto y retorné al camino.

20-Nov-2017 --This confluence is located very close to the route 36 (one of the options to reach the towns on the Atlantic coast from the city of Buenos Aires) and also in the urban sector of the city of La Plata, an area dotted with nurseries, orchards, some industries, and scattered housing developments. Priori seemed so easy to conquer.

A few months ago I returned from the coast without any previous study tried to arrive, I put on the GPS and I followed his instructions, left the route 36 by 66 Ave and then followed until the 179 St, which flowing through approximately one kilometre I should stop at few metres from confluence. But the street became blurred at about 500 metres from the confluence.

I went back to the Avenue and tried by the 185 Street, paved, and then penetrating me by dirt roads, but the same result, only could reach about 500 meters of the confluence point.

I didn't like walking and on the other hand is a sector which I use to pass by several times a year, this time gave up and decided to investigate the satellite images to determine the best way of approach.

On 20 November again I am returning from the coast, and decided to try again. Viewing satellite imagery all the paths that I tried (without success) seemed correct, it is that lack of use made them currently impracticable for a common car. But on the other hand looked another way, leaving the 66 Ave. by the 177 St, which seemed to also lead to the entrance of the quarry where the confluence is located. And it worked this time, just a few minutes after leaving the asphalt of Avenue already within 100 meters of the confluence. The sky became increasingly black and raindrops began to fall, and was within private grounds (the last 150 meters were after passing the intimidating "Private property forbidden access" sign that gives access to the quarry), so quickly I checked the point and returned to the road.
