#1: NES Panoramic view from the road

(visited by Philippe Burtin and Antonella Burtin)

09-Oct-2020 -- A few days vacation during the Covid 19 pandemic ! As the travel limitations got more and more restrictive we ended up with our only option left : a road trip in our home country. So we decided to head north with the goal of visiting the Loire valley and the famous castles stringed all along the river. Traveling with our car also gave us the opportunity to visit a number of CPs lying along our itinerary.

N47 E1 is located in a crop field and there is a paved road on the south side of the field making the approach very easy. We stayed on the road side to avoid walking in the mud and the pictures were shot at 69 meters south of the actual point.

To visit that point we made a short side trip after visiting the Royal City of Loches. This fortified medieval town has been a royal residency for the french kings. The different parts of the castle and fortress were built during 5 centuries (Xth – XVth). Don’t miss the dungeon : impressive and mysterious !
