22-May-2022 -- Dieses war der 3. CP (von 18) auf unserer 3-wöchigen Normandie- und Bretagnetour. Der CP liegt auf einem kleinen – dicht bewachsenen – Inselchen mitten in der Marne. Wir kamen vom Ort „Isles-les Meldeuses“ über die „route departementale“ D 121 E, überfuhren die Brücke und parkten unser Wohnmobil „mehr schlecht als recht“ auf der anderen Seite direkt längs der D 121E – es sollte ja nur für ein paar Minuten sein.

Von dort ging ich zunächst die Strasse wieder zurück und mittig auf der Insel über die Begrenzung hinunter gleich ins Unterholz. Man ahnte einen Trampelpfad / Laufspuren – wahrscheinlich von CP-junkies, die sich irgendwann zuvor ihren Weg gebahnt hatten. Ottonormalbürger dürften dieser Insel eher ganz und gar nichts abgewinnen – selbst ins Wasser kommt man von dieser Insel eher schlecht.

Es war wirklich nicht weit bis zum CP – aber das Lokalisieren dauerte ewig. Ziemlich stark bewaldet, umgestürzte Bäume – dann noch grössere Betonbrocken, über die man immer vor und zurück / rauf und runter musste, weil mein altersschwaches Garmin nicht so recht „wusste, was es wollte“. 9 Fotos allein vom GPS, bevor die (waldtypisch nichtssagenden) Umgebungsfotos dran waren. Und dann hatte ich das GPS beim umherstolpern auch noch unabsichtlich so verstellt, dass es 49 °00,000' 3°00.000' anzeigte, anstelle der von mir bevorzugten Grad-Minuten-Sekunden Darstellung. Gggrrrr

Der CP liegt nur wenige Meter neben dem Wasser; trotzdem kann man die Marne auf den Fotos Richtung Osten und Süden eher nur erahnen. Dann auf gleichem Weg (wie auch sonst) zurück zum Wohnmobil.

Weg hin und zurück + CP Lokalisierung dauerten ca. 25 Minuten. Stolze Zeit für keine 100 Meter vom Wohnmobil zum CP.

22-May-2022 -- This was the 3rd CP (of 18) on our 3-week tour to normandie and brittany. The CP is located on an island in the river Marne, crossed by the „route departementale“ D 121 E. We came from „Isles-les-Meldeuses“ crossed the bridge and parked our campingcar just aside the D 121 E „the pragmatic but perhaps not legal way“ - i thought being back in rather 10 to 15 minutes.

I walked back the road – at the middle of the island i stepped down into the thicket. There i followed something i wouldn't name a path. You looked foreward and decided /guessed (encouraged by Garmin, the wise) „this could be a, or even the way“. We can be shure that „ordinary citizens“ have no reasons at all to visit this place – all kind of „pathes“ or whatever will surely only result in the existing of the CP project.

So after several meters and lots of minutes i reached the CP-area. The CP is located on land a few meters from the river marne – moderate GPS reading, lots of bushes , fallen trees, larger concrete obstacles made the CP location „demanding“. Nine pictures of my Garmin before i continued with the pictures of the surroundings; although the distance to the river marne is only a few meters, you can only guess it on the pictures taken in direction east and south.

Then same way back to the campingcar; time to CP and back + CP localisation took about 25 minutes - quite a lot for a distance „CP-campingcar“ less than 100 meters.
