09-Jul-2024 -- This is the 5^th out of 10 reports visiting confluence points during a 10-day bicycle trip from Rovaniemi to the Norwegian Sea and back. The story starts from 67°N 26°E and continues from 70°N 27°E.

While riding on E6 northwards, I took a side road signposted with youth hostel (Karalaks Leir-og Utfartssenter) for 2 km. At the road end, the remaining distance to this confluence point is only 350m. I parked my bicycle at the Youth Hostel, which was closed at the time of my visit.

There is a hiking trail from the Youth Hostel directly to the confluence point. So, it is a pleasant hike, if the trail wouldn’t cross a swamp. With some caution, I was able to cross it with keeping my shoes dry.

The confluence itself is pleasant spot on a rockface with a pretty glacial boulder on top. Vegetation consists of scattered bushes and some grass, herbs, moss and lichen.

After the visit, I continued on E6 northwards and reached 5 km later the town Lakselv, where I spent the night in a hotel.
