25-Feb-2001 -- Since so many visits seem to be made by car, we thought we should make a point and go visit a confluence by bike. We didn't think much more though, otherwise we would have been spared some experience (read: cramps) and a wonderfully close encounter with the German forest (using a map sure beats GPS navigation).
The point itself is located about 25 km to the South of Hildesheim, deep in the agricultural hinterland of Niedersachsen. The tiny village to the Northeast is home to about 200 people, as it seems an average size for towns in this area. As the photos show, the land is hilly with a range of larger hills
to the North and West.
