08-Jun-2001 -- Coming from our visit to
49°N 16°E through a hilly landscape we passed the village of Nenkovice. We parked just outside the village close to a cherry tree and memorial stone. The area of the confluence site consists small agricultural fields probably belonging to private owners. Surrounding large cornfields are cultivated by a Kolchose (kolkhose – collective farm).
We were able to approach the spot by using a harvested field (pic#3). Fortunately the target wheat field itself showed tracks from tractor (pic#5). Therefore we could enter the cornfield without major damages to the plants.
After returning from the spot we had a short break and tasted some cherries. Then we continued to north, to
50°N 18°E.
