30-Dec-2001 -- One of my friends in the United States told me about the confluence project. As I checked out the status in Japan, and found out the most of confluences are not visited yet, I decided to jump in.
This is a confluence point the closest to Tokyo. We planned our route with road map, figured that the spot is about 55 kilometers away from our house. It turned out to be only one and a half hour trip.
The spot was in the middle of the tanbo (rice field). Rice had been cut a couple of months ago so all the tanbo around was pretty bare and dried, made our way to find out the spot easy. It was just off the farming road.
It was fine, calm and warm day. Off-the-season tanbo was very quiet and peaceful. Besides the excitement of visiting the confluence, it was a nice day off to get away from busy city after all.
