30-Jul-2004 -- This is a relatively easy confluence to visit. Eastbound out of Yerington, NV on Hwy 95 and then southbound on a dirt road at N39 01.928 W118 59.982 we continued until we reached a dry wash cutting across the road at N39 00.329 W118 59.380 It was along an east-west fence line and about ¼ mile north of Hendricks well. The road was in excellent condition before and after the wash but we did not want to risk getting our RV stuck in the sand or high centered on the over 1 foot vertical drop into and out of the wash. A 4wd vehicle would have no problem crossing it.

It was about ¾ mile to hike to the confluence and there was a trail leading to the base of a small hill. At just about the top of the hill, we started our confluence dance that was much easier than our previous confluence visit to Lake Tahoe (39n-120w). If the GPS was slightly off, we could easily pick it up and move it 2 meters one way or the other to zero out the readings.

Total time from Hwy 95 was 1 hour 15 minutes until we were back on our way. Round trip time for the hike was 53 minutes covering 1.6 miles. Onward to our next confluence at 39n-118w.
