25-Jul-2009 -- After several years, I had the chance to travel again with my motorcycle through the Alps. I started my trip in Austria and drove over 3000 km through Italy, Switzerland and France, what a beautiful part of the world!

The confluence N47-E11 is located in the Austrian Oetz-Valley. I took the highway from my hometown near Frankfurt to southern Germany and passed the "Fernpass", a very high frequented pass road, where I had to pass a traffic jam of 15 km length. I entered the Oetztal and found quickly the narrow road leading to a small hotel and restaurant, the "Jausenstation Hochwald", where I left my motorcycle.

After a 15 minute walk, I reached the confluence, where an old couple were making hay. They didn´t pay any attention to me, while I was taking my photos, so this time I did not need to explain what I was doing...

I left the location and went back to the small restaurant, where I had very good fried potatoes with "Fleischkäse" and fried egg. After that I continued my trip to the end of the valley in Hochgurgl, where I stayed in a hotel to travel on to Bolzano in Italy the next day.
