Pendant mon voyage à vélo, j’avais prévu de repasser par le point 45°N, 0°E. C’est un point assez remarquable car il est mis en valeur sur certaines photos satellites pour montrer la couverture nuageuse: https://eumetview.eumetsat.int/static-images/latestImages/EUMETSAT_MSG_RGBNatColourEnhncd_WesternEurope.jpg

J’y étais déjà passé en septembre 2022, avant de connaître le site confluence.org. À l’époque, je n’avais donc pas fait les photos vers les 4 points cardinaux.

Le lieu n’a pas vraiment changé, il y a toujours le poteaux qui indique qu’il s’agit du centre de l’hémisphère nord. Ce point est situé à moins de 10m de la route et il est accessible à vélo. Je me suis à nouveau amusé à en faire le tour plusieurs fois à vélo.

Ceci dit, je ne me suis pas autant attardé que la fois d’avant, comme si l’intérêt d’un point de confluence était émoussé lorsqu’on l’a déjà visité auparavant. Mais ça n’entame pas mon enthousiasme pour les autres points de confluence, j’espère en visiter d’autres bientôt !

During my bike trip, I had planned to return to the 45°N, 0°E point. This is a rather remarkable point because it is highlighted in some satellite photos to show cloud cover: https://eumetview.eumetsat.int/static-images/latestImages/EUMETSAT_MSG_RGBNatColourEnhncd_WesternEurope.jpg

I had already passed by it in September 2022, before I was aware of the confluence.org website. At the time, I hadn't taken the photos towards the four cardinal points.

The location hasn't really changed; there's still the post indicating that it's the center of the northern hemisphere. This point is located less than 10 meters from the road and is accessible by bicycle. I had fun cycling around it several times again.

That said, I didn't linger as long as last time, as if the interest in a confluence point is blunted once you've visited it before. But that doesn't dampen my enthusiasm for the other confluence points; I hope to visit more soon!
