31-Jul-2006 -- We drove to the island of Magerøya the same day. The location itself is really close to the town of Honningsvåg. To get to the point we parked the car next to some houses on the side of it.
Some walking up the hill and there it was. The elevation at the point is 169 m. It is located on the side of the rocky hill.
Good thing that the 31st of July is the last day when the sun is always in the sky because we got there at 10 pm.
Actually there is a very nice view from the hill when you go a little further than the location itself.
Magerøya is a great place! To be honest I had enjoyed the 71N26E point a lot more than the Nordkapp. (Nordkapp is the northernmost point in Norway and in Europe.)
This should become a nice attraction for tourists that do not want to pay hundreds of Kroner to enter the Nordkapp :-)
