18-Aug-2008 -- On my way back from of a work meeting in Zwolle in the north of the Netherlands, I went to visit this point very close to my way towards the south of Belgium.

It had not been visited since November 2006. The confluence is inside an enclosed field. There are still horses in the field, with some foals, and I preferred not to disturb them. The confluence is at about ten meters north of the barrier along the small road. It seems that there is no change in the landscape since the preceding visits.

On the picture showing the landscape towards the West, the small black spot in the sky is a montgolfier.

On the picture towards the South, you can see the church of the village of Gangelt. Interesting coincidence: it is the village where Mercator, the famous geographer who invented the projection which bears his name, spent the first years of his life. Perhaps he played in the field of the confluence when he was young?

I was lucky during my visit: this day, it was raining a lot before my arrival on the point, and as soon as I left, the rain started again. I just had a sun ray while I took the pictures.
