05-Jul-2010 -- Was away for a couple of days in Cologne, catching up with my brother-in-law who was working in the suburbs of Cologne for a few months, as it has been a couple of years since we last saw him we decided to make the effort to have a few days in Cologne. The flight from London to Cologne was my first on a discount airline and should have taken just over an hour, however it ended up taking over 7 hours, so I am not sure that I will be booking with a discount airline again.
Anyway we had a nice couple of days in Cologne, it was Gay Pride weekend, so it was very colourful when we visited the city centre. The others did not want to go to visit the CP that was about 7km from the city centre, so I dropped the others in the centre of Cologne and I took our hire car out towards the CP.
This a very easy CP to visit, in fact you can almost drive to it, I parked our hire car less than 30m from all the zeros, along a track that is used by the railway, as the line runs very close to the CP, just got out walked a few paces into a field and there I was, all in all a very quick CP visit.
It was then back in to the car and Cologne to find the wife and brother-in-law for breakfast.
