20-May-2012 -- Coming from San Francisco we followed highway no. 1 down to Santa Cruz and enjoyed the nice beach with its roller coasters and relaxed people. We quickly found the way up to the De Laveaga golf course and were surprised that a nice path directly brought us to the confluence.

Although in the middle of the forrest on a steep slope, the location was easily accessible. We were a bit afraid of the mountain lion warning sign, but no lion appeared and - we were lucky - no golf ball hit us either. After taking our photos, we continued our trip to Monterey that day, where we stayed for some days, before we visited Santa Barbara, Malibu and Beverly Hills. Finally we flew out to Germany from from L.A. international airport.
